This is no mere HD port... This is a full remake of one of the best RPGs of the ps2... I just recently started playing the original version two weeks ago and this looks different and amazing.
I can tell the HD port will look beautiful. Though I already played it before and don't want to be in the situation again of getting stuck like last time with one character I don't really like. Though this is a great game and good for people who haven't played Odin Sphere before.
Elius Ha same thing. Luckily I managed to beat it with Cornilus at some point of his story which I hate his story by far. If the game just let me play Velvet, Gwen, Merccedes, and Oswald then it would be a better choice. Glad I beat it. The final boss for the true good ending was quite tricky even though it was a breeze to beat.

They're just a different branch of ATLUS now, you can yell they're separated as much as you want but they were ATLUS as much as they are now. ATLUS pays for the production of a game made by a studio ran by its own people. They're the ones that payed for the project and directed it in the first place, they're the ones that made the changes into the remake possible and the only thing thay didn't directly make was made by one of their studios, not an "indipendent" one. How he's thanking ATLUS wrong in any possible way? That's like saying "don't thank Koei Tecmo for the DW series, Omega Force did the games" ...yeah, still Koei XD
I love that the opening scene with the cat and book pays tribute to Princess Crown on the Sega Saturn, an extremely underrated game (it was only released in Japan) that was created by many members of Vanillaware.
I wish they'd consider remaking Princess Crown too. That game still needs official localizing. Don't get me wrong, this is fantastic in presentation and what's being promised. The cast is going to be fighting some new bosses, exploring new locales and apparently getting all kinds of new attacks (along with Gwendolyn demonstrating what looked like a finishing move). I see some other features as well, like what appears to be a skill development system.
Rukasu Mizukiyo Its definitely getting localized. I mean, J-stars Victory Vs got localized and ported to PS4 and I thought that was impossible. This is PS3/PS4/Vita so its a definite.
this game is so amazing with a beautiful artstyle and storyline. It really needed a remake like this because the originals framerate was subpar. Very happy to see some of the classic PS2 era games get HD remakes. :)

This hits all the right places. Revamped, even if slightly, mechanics(both battle and alchemy). Each character has a super special move. Levels get a redesign. New enemies/bosses. What looks to be aerial boss fights. And the option to play the base game, if you don't like the changes. Where can I enter my credit card info?

engin93es I think you should hold off on getting the PS2 version and wait for this one when Atlus decides to localize it. HD remakes/remastered editions tend to have a LOT of new content compared to the original version. You would most likely get more for your money if you wait. :-)

Grimgrimoire too pls!! Make the story of Grimgrimoire longer. I especially adore the story but it was too short and really an HD REMAKE TOO PLS!!!!!! Bless you Vanillaware for doing this you don't know how much I was howling when I heard Odin Sphere will have a remake and HD to boot.
